Locks Co. goes way back to 1946, When Milton Dorn grew up in Connecticut, graduated high school and enlisted in the US Army. He had learned the locksmith profession after school each day by working at a lock shop called "Karpelow and Co.' in Bridgeport. When he enlisted in the Army he was listed as a locksmith and later put on special assignment. This special assignment pulled him off the of the "D-Day' invasion at
Normandy, and thus he survived World War II. After serving his tour of duty he and his wife Betty came to South Florida in 1946 where the winters are much milder. There he started a locksmith shop. There were very few sources for locks and keys then and the distributors that were around then really did not take into consideration the needs of locksmiths. He began getting difficult to get items from the manufacturers and getting other locksmiths to buy them from him. Finally in 1954 he closed the service end of his business to go strictly wholesale and thus Locks Co. was born.

Today Locks employees approximately 25 people. With locations in Miami Fl. and Atlanta GA. We offer one day service to the entire Southeast and can ship anywhere in the world. We offer automotive locks cabinet locks locking hardware safes electronic hardware, access control products and a complete line of locksmith supplies. Our specialty is service. We offer a variety of delivery options and even use courier services to save the locksmith time. --- " And we all know that time is money, or at least it can be".
